ANALISIS KETERSEDIAAN DAN KEBUTUHAN AIR BERSIH DI KABUPATEN GIANYAR

Abstract

The increase in population and the development of the tourism sector in Gianyar Regency have
led to an increasing need for water, both in terms of quantity, quality and sustainability. For
sustainable water supply in Gianyar Regency, long-term water planning is needed in the form of
a water balance for a certain period of time. The water balance is calculated based on the
population with projected water needs and current water availability. The population projection
in this research is calculated using a geometric method with basic data from 2010 to 2019. The
assumption of domestic and non - domestic water needs is calculated based on the standards of
Direktorat Jenderal Cipta Karya, DPU, 2000. To calculate water availability using secondary
data from PDAM Gianyar Regency, BWS Bali Penida, Dinas PUPR Bali Province and Dinas
PUPR Gianyar Regency. From the calculation of water demand projections in the next 10 years
with services ranging from 85 % to 95 % in 2030, it is obtained that the domestic and nondomestic
water demand increase rate is 1 % per year. From the water balance analysis, if there is
no increase in raw water production capacity, Gianyar Regency will have a water deficit starting
in 2020. PDAM Gianyar Regency still needs raw water supply and investment to increase the
capacity of reservoir infrastructure, pumps and piping networks to overcome the water deficit
