Abstract

Construction waste material is a general problem that happened in construction project implementation, it
happened because of the inequality between the planning work volume with the implementation work volume.
In the many type of the material on the construction project, concrete reinforcement is the most case of
construction waste material. This is caused by the availability of reinforcement material on the market with
limited dimension that caused a problem when cutting the reinforcement causing a waste material. The purpose
of this research is searching about the amount of waste material of concrete reinforcement, and then calculated
to got a loss factor. This research used analitive descriptive study and analyzed based on shop drawing of
construction project of Bhayangkara Hospital building. Then, this research just explaining about the
calculation of waste material on reinforcement cutting and not calculated the optimation of the reinforcement
waste material. Based on data analysis this research found the amount of waste material is 32,723.63 kg for
foundation, column, beam & stair work and make and 14 %. Then, for the floor structure using wiremesh
reinforcement has a amount of 2,600.06 m2 of waste material and make 25 %.
